Harken gear has dominated such events as the America's Cup, TP-52 Super Series and Olympics. Their blocks, travelers, furling systems, and winches can be found aboard everything from the smallest dinghies to the largest Super and Classic Yachts.
Headquartered in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, Harken manufactures in the USA and Italy. Its network includes offices in 48 countries, with group offices located in Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States (Rhode Island, California, and Florida)
“We’re thrilled to be a part of classic yachting, and especially the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta.” offered Bill Goggins, managing director Harken USA. We’re seeing increased interest from classic yacht owners in upgrading the performance capabilities of their beautiful boats. We’ve collaborated on some very interesting ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing projects’ where we put Harken components inside classic blocks. And this year we’re introducing our first line of classically-inspired Harken wood blocks. “It’s important for us to be part of the Corinthian Classic Regatta—exciting too."
Harken salutes the growing trend toward restoring and aggressively racing these rare nautical treasures. You can check out one of their recent collaborations with Dorade . Harken staff members regularly compete on the classic and Super Yacht circuits.
“I can’t think of a better brand to have involved with our event,” said event co-chair Timmy Dittrich. “Harken is a great brand, and their designs have integrity and credibility among the Classic Yachting Circuit regulars."
