August 11, 2016 (MARBLEHEAD, Mass.) – Harken, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of innovative sailboat hardware and accessories, has been named the Official Hardware Partner for the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta – presented by Officine Panerai. The event is hosted by Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead, MA and will be sailed on the waters of Massachusetts Bay during the weekend of August 13-14.
Harken gear has dominated such events as the America's Cup, TP-52 Super Series and Olympics. Their blocks, travelers, furling systems, and winches can be found aboard everything from the smallest dinghies to the largest Super and Classic Yachts.
Headquartered in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, Harken manufactures in the USA and Italy. Its network includes offices in 48 countries, with group offices located in Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States (Rhode Island, California, and Florida)
"We’re thrilled to be a part of classic yachting, and especially the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta." offered Bill Goggins, managing director Harken USA. We continue to see ever more interest from classic yacht owners in upgrading the performance capabilities of their beautiful boats—pushing them harder with the resulting new equipment when appropriate. As is illustrated in our new tagline "At The Front" wherever people are pushing the boundaries of the sport Harken is there. That’s why it’s important for us to be part of the Corinthian Classic Regatta."
Harken salutes the growing trend toward restoring and aggressively racing these rare nautical treasures. You can check out one of their recent collaborations with Dorade (video). Dorade will be competing at the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta presented by Officine Panerai August 13 & 14. Harken staff members regularly compete on the classic and Super Yacht circuits.
